Our Story
Headwaters Outdoor Education Ministry was born out of a simple but powerful conviction that every young person, no matter their circumstances, deserves a chance to grow.
We saw youth in difficult situations and felt called to do something about it. Rather than a traditional classroom or program, we turned to what we know best: God and the outdoors. What started as a desire to walk alongside struggling youth has grown into a full ministry dedicated to guiding young men and women out of hardship and into hope.
At Headwaters, we believe that nature has a way of stripping away distractions and opening hearts, and that God meets us there. Through that foundation, we help youth not just survive their circumstances, but grow through them into strong, confident young adults ready to face the world.
Our Mission
To mentor at-risk youth and young adults through outdoor education, spiritual discipleship, and hands-on life experiences, helping them discover the importance of God in their lives.

Headwaters Outdoor Education Program Ministry exists to transform the lives of young men and women by guiding them into a deep, personal relationship with God through mentorship, discipleship, and outdoor adventure.
Our vision is to create a space where youth can experience the power of God’s creation, learn essential life skills, and develop the resilience needed to walk boldly in their faith.
More Than An Adventure
We believe that nature provides the perfect setting for encountering God—whether through the stillness of a mountain sunrise, the challenge of a rugged hike, or the patience required to catch a fish. These moments become opportunities for spiritual growth, self-discovery, and a strong foundation in Christ.
Through consistent mentorship, immersive outdoor experiences, and biblical teaching, we equip young people with the wisdom, strength, and faith to navigate life’s challenges.
